The first images for the adidas ACE 16+ Purecontrol Ultra Boost Blue Blast only surfaced several weeks ago – now we have a confirmed release date!
And thankfully you won’t have to wait long. This bold colourway is releasing way sooner than expected, but as as you’d expect this is going to be a challenging cop.
The major success of the ACE 16+ Purecontrol began with the debut release in late 2016. That black/white/red design quickly sold out after hitting shelves. In fact, that design was so limited that only several hundred were commissioned for the entire European market.
Next up was a full black rendition and you can imagine the hype with fans of the range. It was just as difficult to secure and many were left with nothing but an L on the morning of release.
Hopefully, the vibrant and spring-ready ‘Blue Blast’ colourway is your shot at redemption. The same construct as predecessors puts all emphasis on a Primeknit crafted upper. As a homage to the football boot equivalent, this sits high at the ankle for support and comfort.
Welded three stripe branding also gives some added rigidity, as does a synthetic overlay at the heel. Deep open weave sections across the toe promote breathability but we’re guessing you won’t be wearing these on the pitch. The ACE 16+ deserves respect and looks just as good in the urban jungle matched with your favourite jeans.
To complete the look and provide that all important cushioning, a BOOST midsole sits underfoot in white. For all you sneakerheads, this needs little introduction.
The adidas ACE 16+ Purecontrol Ultra Boost Blue Blast is going live tomorrow at adidas UK from 9am. Other retailers such as End Clothing will be releasing at a random time.
